Over the holiday period we welcomed back toxicologist and Research Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College Marie Bourgeois. You may remember her from such twitter accounts as Real Scientists (first appearing back in May 2015) and @mmbtox.
One of the topics Marie covered was urine analysis, which I was interested to learn, is often adulterated!
and i was serious about smelling dietary preferences in urine. cereal, garlic and asparagus were some of the strongest @usfcoph @USFResearch

vitamins make festively colored urine (expensive too!) but definitely not healthier.
toilet water with blue dye was a pretty addition too.— realscientists (@realscientists) December 20, 2016

And this tweet is most hilariously shared without context. And so it shall be.
Drunk mice did remind me of my sister at my wedding reception though…same stagger and face plant. Of course she vomited profusely.

Hey, we all love a good wedding – mouse or not.
Once again, Marie kindly shared her Real Scientists reflections with us.
What (if anything) did you differently this time around?
Nothing to different. I was just more relaxed 🙂
Did you notice any difference in the interactions compared with your last curation?
I was much more confident dealing with the occasional troll.
What were the highlights? Were there any lowlights?
Talking to all of my friends in a different venue was nice. I also enjoyed meeting new people via your account.
No lowlights that I can think of.
Thanks once again Marie from all of us here at RealScientists HQ. If you missed anything from her return, the tweets are all collated at the following link.
